Sandpoint Lacrosse 7/8 girls win back-to-back tournaments

Full caption: The Sandpoint Cutthroat Lacrosse 7th/8th grade girls team won their division of CDA Lacrosse Classic held Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 at the Canfield Sports Complex in Coeur d'Alene. During pool play on day one, the girls defeated the Missoula Wild (9-3), lost to the Northwest Sharpshooters of Kalispell (11-4) and defeated the Richland Bombers (7-3). During day two's championship bracket, they defeated Spokane Youth Lacrosse (8-0) and then the Northwest Sharpshooters in the championship match (5-4). On Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11 during the 12th annual Lax on the Lake youth lacrosse tournament in Sandpoint, in which over 1,000 athletes attended, the same crew won their championship bracket with an 8-7 buzzer-beating overtime victory over the Northwest Sharpshooters.
