The freshman outfielder from Coeur d'Alene High was named second team all-West Region in Northwest Athletic Conference baseball. Christ hit .269 and stole 16 bases for the Blazers (25-29), who advanced to the NWAC Super Regionals before falling to Bellevue.

The sophomore from Lake City High finished sixth in the 400 meters in 48.62 seconds at the Mountain West Conference outdoor championships in Clovis, Calif. Cogley ran a 47.89 in the prelims.

Swallows, a freshman from St. Maries High, shot a 166 to finish tied for 27th in the Northwest Athletic Championships at Apple Tree Golf Course in Yakima on Tuesday, helping the Sasquatch claim their first conference title since 2016 by one stroke over Bellevue.
