Upcoming Events at the Pearl

The Pearl Theater has always been the venue to see concerts and plays in Bonners Ferry, but the theater is expanding programs to include a wider variety of events. Events offered at the Pearl now include groups, workshops, a drum circle, karaoke and much more.    


Saturday, May 24  and 31 — Rhythm Boomers Drum Circle, 10 a.m. 

Come make some rhythm. Percussion will be supplied for those without it. This is a free event. 

Sunday, May 25 — Fern Spores & Eel Sallad, 7 p.m.   

Fern Spores is an indie rock band from Olympia, Washington, combining vintage psych folk with grunge, blues, and pop elements. Eel Sallad is Northwest Americana with grunge and folk sounds, hailing from Portland, Oregon. Tickets are $15. 

Monday, May 26 — Write In, 6-7:30 p.m.   

Bring writing projects to work on and meet other local writers. Free to participate.   

Wednesday, May 28 — Life Force Activation, 6-8 p.m.  

Life Force Activation offers a transformative experience open to all individuals seeking spiritual growth, self-realization, and a deeper connection to their inner selves. Each session is $25 and those who wish to participate can sign up in advance at www.studio19one.com. 

Thursday, May 29 — Performers Circle, 7 p.m. 

Performers Circle is the Pearl's longest running event. Bring a song or spoken word to the circle or come to enjoy a night of artistic collaboration. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. This is a free event.   

Friday, May 30 — Jym Elders: Mentalist, 7-10 p.m.   

Jym Elders has 20 years of experience, bringing his interactive mind-reading spectacular to audiences from New York to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. 

Having a life-long fascination with the paranormal and all things mysterious, Jym Elders utilizes his background in psychology, theater and magic to create a show that is both mesmerizing and memorable. Tickets are available at www.thehistoricpearltheater.org. 

Friday, June 6 — June Karaoke, 7 p.m.  

Karaoke night at the Pearl. Karafun is used for backtracks, which has thousands of options, so check out karafun.com to see if they have your song. The cafe will be serving drinks and snacks. 

This is a free event for ages 18+. 


Built in 1894, the Pearl Theater was originally the first Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry. The historic building is now a theater that provides performance arts, and other events, to the growing community of Boundary County.     

The Pearl Theater, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2012 with the goal of providing quality performing arts in an intimate historic downtown art house. The Pearl Theater’s objective as a nonprofit is to foster and develop the artistic talents and skills of community members of all ages, to serve as an outreach to encourage and facilitate social activities, and to nurture excellence in the performing arts through the presentation of performing artists from the local area as well as national and international arenas.      

The theater is available to rent for personal and public events.
