Chancey Williams to headline June 5 show at Nashville North
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 7 months AGO
Former saddle bronc athlete-turned-country sensation Chancey Williams will bring his neo-traditional sound to Post Falls at 6 p.m. June 6 when he headlines a show at Nashville North.
Representing the Western lifestyle and cowboy mentality, Williams’ sound and subject matter have found their time in Nashville’s country scene, as demonstrated on his sixth studio album and latest release, "One of These Days." Williams recently released his carefree, guitar-powered, electric new single, “Adiós."
"For us, it's been a long journey of playing against what was popular in country music, but we just stayed the course,” Williams told People magazine. “I always tell the band, don't worry about whatever any other artist is doing. We have blinders on."
"One of These Days" released to rave reviews, supported by the likes of People, Billboard, Taste of Country, Whiskey Riff, Holler and Saving Country Music, which said of the project, “If we could wave a magic wand and instantly remake mainstream country music into something much better than what it is today, Chancey Williams and his new album 'One of These Days' would not be a bad wish at all," according to a May 22 news release.
Most recently, Williams released electric guitar-fueled mid-tempo “One Bad Motha Buckaroo,” giving fans a light-hearted view into the life of a good-time Charley — the guy who lives off whiskey and late nights, then finds comfort in the bed of his truck alongside his blue-eyed border collie pup.
