Sandpoint Sasquatch 13U captures Battle of the Burg tourney title

The Sandpoint Sasquatch 13U travel baseball team won the Battle in the 'Burg tournament held Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18 at Rotary Park in Ellensburg, Wash. The boys won four straight games, defeating Elevate Hooks Northwest of the Greater Seattle area (29-1), the Wenatchee Valley Baseball Club (12-4), the Lynden Lobos (14-7) and the Merchants Northwest Purple of the Greater Seattle area (15-5) in the championship match. Sasquatch player Henry Madden, who was 10-for-12 with three triples, three doubles and 15 RBI, was named tournament MVP by Top Tier Sports, which hosted the tourney…
