Suzanne Lynn (Deitrick) Hutcheson, 70, passed away on May 11, 2025, at Logan Health Medical Center.

She was born in Kalispell on Aug. 10, 1954, to Hank and Loretta Deitrick. She was the youngest in her family. She graduated from Flathead High School in 1972. She married her High School sweetheart Greg Hutcheson. They were married from 1976-1981. She became a loving mother in 1974 to Lisa Ann and again in 1979 to Heidi Jean.

Suzanne was a very caring, sentimental, dedicated and creative person with a quirky sense of humor that kept us all on our toes. She was born with a love for animals and spent her childhood developing that love with horses. She always shared stories about riding and caring for them. When her granddaughter, Lilyana took on the same interest Suzanna could not have been happier. She also had a passion for pottery and ceramics when she was a young mother. She learned from her parents and had a great interest and pleasure in planting, growing and caring for plants and flowers. Gardening was always something that she did a spectacular job at. Once she bought her first home, she spent most of her time creating the perfect outside space for us all to enjoy. The green thumb that she inherited from her family was surely passed down.

Her dedication and work ethic were something that she was committed to. She had a few office positions at local businesses but the one that sticks out was her 30 plus years with Crescent Electric Supply Company here in Kalispell. Working there is where her people skills really shined. Besides being professional, she also had great relationships and friendships with all her co-workers as well as customers. Not only did she strive to take care of the customers’ needs, but she always took time to get to know their dogs that would be their work partners. Her office walls were always filled with pictures of anyone’s pets that she knew, and she always had dog treats for them all. When her employment ended, we can truly say that so did a part of her. It was a hard transition going from working and connecting with these people every day to learning about retirement.

For all of us that new Suzanne, also knew how hard it was to keep up with her family of cats. She had a heart for the lost and lonely. Somehow these cats would find their way to her front door. She offered a second chance for a loving home to many. There has always been at least one cat bowl on her porch full of food and a freshwater bowl for them all year round.

Suzanne is going to be missed by all who knew her, including her animals that she leaves behind. She had many long-lasting friendships that will feel a void with her being gone and our hearts go out to all.

Suzanne is survived by her children, Lisa Eff (Craig), Heidi Kincel (Lonnie); her three grandkids, Aidan Rambo, Lilyana Piezga-Hutcheson and Levi Kincel; and sister, Charlotte Bostic, of Kalispell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hank "Henry" and Loretta Deitrick, her brother, Steve Deitrick and her sister, Connie Guest.

Graveside services for Suzanne will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday May 28, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
