ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Pepper Rickert, Sandpoint Tennis

This week's Athlete of the Week is Pepper Rickert of Sandpoint Tennis.

A sophomore, Pepper won all four of her matches in straight sets to capture back-to-back 5A State Championships in girls singles. In the process, she completed her second straight undefeated season at 24-0, putting her at 48 straight wins, all in straight sets, to start her high school tennis career. She is now the first back-to-back girls state champion from any school in any division from North Idaho in recorded history of the state tennis tournament.
