Polson and Columbia Falls, the two teams that ruled the top of the Northwest A conference, each had four softball players selected All-State in voting by league coaches.

The all-Northwest A team was released Wednesday and Polson, which lost in the State A championship to Frenchtown on Saturday, and Polson made up eight of the 10 first-team picks.

Liz Cunningham, Samantha Rensvold, Olivia Jore and Sierra Perez were first-team —  and thus All-State — picks for the 19-7-1 Lady Pirates.

Cunningham hit .453 this season, with three HRs, two triples and 19 runs batted in with 22 runs scored.

Rensvold was the ace pitcher, going 16-7 with a 3.19 earned-run average and 124 strikeouts in 120 2-3 innings. At the plate she hit .427 with eight doubles, three doubles and 23 RBIs. She scored 36 runs and was named All-State for the second straight spring.

Jore hit .494 with 13 homers, 49 RBIs and 40 runs scored in 25 games. Perez posted a .355 average with 22 runs and 10 stolen bases. All four are seniors.

Columbia Falls, which went 3-2 at the State A tournament to finish the season 18-8, had Annika Reid, Tayler Lingle, Addy Bowler and Annika Lawrence named All-State.

Reid hit .545 with nine doubles, two triples, six homers — she hit four home runs at the State A, on her home fields — and 45 RBIs.

Lingle hit .592 with 15 steals and 37 runs scored; Bowler hit .463 with 19 steals and 35 runs scored, to go with a home run and 22 RBIs. Reid, Lingle and Bowler were seniors.

Lawrence, a sophomore, hit .414 with 10 doubles, five triples, five HRs and 30 RBIs. She scored 37 runs.

Lingle and Lawrence are All-State for second straight season.

Filling out the first team were Libby’s Peyton Waggoner and Ronan’s Neveah Perez.

Waggoner, a senior, hit .379 with 19 RBIs. The third baseman committed just four errors for a .920 fielding percentage for the 12-10 Loggers.

Perez, a junior, hit .535 with five homers, four doubles and 22 RBIs for the 10-9 Maidens. She was intentionally walked 10 times.
