LIBBY — Aiden Rose hit a pair of RBI singles and Libby used a six-run fifth inning to run away from the Kalispell A Lakers 8-1 Wednesday.
Rose’s two singles were the only credited hits of the evening for the Loggers (5-12), who capitalized on five errors and four walks from the Lakers (9-9).
After Libby scored two runs on an error and walk, Rose hit his first single to left field, driving in Noah Gillespie to grow the lead to 3-1. A sacrifice fly and another error allowed Libby to lead 6-1 before the side was retired.
Rose’s second single extended the advantage to 8-1 with a line drive to right that sent Kale Hall home.
Rose also went the distance on the mound, allowing two hits and one run. He fanned six.
George Schwann threw five innings for the Lakers, allowing just one hit and striking out four.
Miles Arrowsmith drove in the lone run for Kalispell with a single in the first inning that scored Beau Schultz.
