Dust off the leather jackets and lace up those dancing shoes — "The History of Rock and Roll" will bring the story of rock and roll to life through narration and a live band at 7 tonight at the Midge and Pepper Smock Family Theater at The Kroc.

This high-energy production will take the audience on a journey from the early roots of rock in the 1950s to the anthems of the '70s and beyond. A narrator will weave a tale of musical evolution as a live band performs legendary hits.

Audience members will relive the rise of icons like Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin and Queen, with music that shaped generations and defined cultural moments.

“We wanted to create more than a show — we wanted to create an experience,” show organizer Rusty Jackson said in a news release.

Tickets are $44 general admission, $36 for seniors and military and $22 for kids under 18.
