Sharon Ann Babb, 94
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 10 months, 3 weeks AGO
Sharon was born in St. Cloud, Minn., on April 25, 1930, to Gerald and Elsie Kinsella.
She graduated from Cathedral High School on May 30, 1948. Sharon was a resident of Coeur d’Alene for over 70 years. She loved her town and saw it grow as it truly is one of the “best places to live.” She was a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene.
Sharon was married to Robert “Bob” Babb for 46 years. They met while both were working for Yellowstone Trucking in Coeur d’Alene. They traveled throughout the U.S. during Bob's trucking career. Her other jobs included working at Klotz Drug in the old Buttrey’s mall and the County Assessor’s Office in Coeur d’Alene. They also owned a Honda Gold Wing Aspencade motorcycle and traveled with their motorcycle club for a number of years.
Many celebrations and meals with family were enjoyed at Beverly’s, the Cedars, the Chinese Gardens, Wolf Lodge and the Kennedy cabin and others on Lake Coeur d’Alene. She loved the time spent with her family, good food and a little wine too. An early birthday celebration in April of 2024 at Cedars was celebrated with her family and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kevin and her sisters, Moonyeen and Patty. Her husband, Bob, recently passed away April 6, 2025.
She is survived by her children: Susan, Patrick and Gerald; her step-sons: Mark, Alan and Paul and step-daughter Jodi. Her grandchildren: Sarah, Michael, Kevin, Jennifer, Gaby, Jess, Mckenna; her great-grandchildren: Aria, Paxton, Briar and her sister, Maryann, in Colorado.
She is very much missed and loved by us all and will be forever remembered.
