GRIP Safety Training   

Join the Flathead Building Association on Nov. 4 for a training course on user fall protection for scaffolds, stairs, and ladders. Takes place from 7 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hampton Inn located at 1140 U.S. 2 in Kalispell. 

Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training  

This course, developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and led by a Lead FSPCA instructor, is the standardized curriculum recognized by the FDA and one way to meet the requirements for a preventive controls qualified individual. It takes place Nov. 4-6 from 8:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Montana West Economic Development located at 44 2nd Ave. W in Kalispell. The value of this course is $895 but is available to Northwest Montana food and agriculture businesses for free. Only a limited number of spots are available. Register at dobusinessinmontana.com/.
