MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake woman was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault and robbery after a man was stabbed and a car was stolen at a Moses Lake business early Saturday morning.
Cassandra Ochoa, 30, was arrested while in a vehicle that had been stolen at the scene, said Moses Lake Police Department Sergeant Rudy Valdez. The assault occurred at the Circle K gas station, 640 N. Stratford Road, at about 5 a.m. The victim was transported to Samaritan Hospital.
Ochoa was found soon after the incident; she was arrested and the vehicle was recovered, Valdez said.

Road projects on hold for Labor Day weekend
MOSES LAKE — With Labor Day weekend dead ahead, drivers will be able to move freely about the state. Most road projects are on hold for the holiday weekend. Nobody will be working on the Hansen Road overpass on Interstate 90, but the lane restrictions that are in effect will continue through the end of the project.
