NIC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Cardinal women fall in season opener

TWIN FALLS — Karsyn Freeman, a freshman from Adna, Wash., scored 20 points for North Idaho College, and was the only Cardinal in double figures in a 70-48 loss to the Central Wyoming Rustlers at the Coca-Cola Invitational at the College of Southern Idaho on Friday.

Sophomore Summer Faleafa added seven points and 10 rebounds. NIC was 1 for 21 from 3-point range. 

Lexie Kesler of Central Wyoming hit six 3-pointers and led all scorers with 26 points. 

NIC plays Northwest College today at noon at CSI.
