Beverly Ann McAloney Wiley, 92, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Oct. 30, 2025.
Born on April 7, 1933, in Huntington Park, Calif., to Howard and Holly McAloney, Bev grew up with her beloved brother, Howard Jr., and was known for her joy, faith, and lifelong love of learning and adventure.
A proud graduate of UCLA, Bev began her teaching career in California before joining the U.S. government, which took her to Munich, Germany, where she met her future husband, Max Wiley. They married in Arcadia in 1960 and shared 39 wonderful years together, raising daughters Carol and Sue, and enjoying teaching, travel, and the outdoors.
The Wileys lived and taught in Idaho, as well as overseas in England and Germany, with the Department of Defense Schools. After returning to Idaho in 1979, they founded Wiley Real Estate. Following Max’s passing, Bev later married Bill Nack, and Dr. Donald Tucker.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Scott) and Sue (Whit); grandchildren, Julie, Molly, Wiley, and Michael; nieces and nephews, Greg, Julie, Janice and Connie and their families; and dear friends who will forever remember her warmth, humor, gratitude, and her reminder to “Have fun, but not too much.”
A celebration of life will be planned for the spring.
