The Bigfork Valkyries closed out their regular season in dominant fashion Tuesday night, sweeping Polson 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.
The win lifted the Valkyries to 11-1 in league play and they go into divisionals with the Northwest A Conference's No. 2 seed.
Somer Campos powered the offense with nine kills, while Raegan Waller added six. Setter Taylor Howlett kept the attack flowing, dishing out 24 assists and contributing three aces from the service line.
Waller also made her presence felt on both sides of the court, leading the team with 14 digs and adding a solo block, while Cassy Schlicht chipped in seven digs to keep the defense steady.
Bigfork’s serving proved crucial, as the Valkyries finished with 10 aces, four of them from Waller, to keep the Lady Pirates on their heels throughout the match.
Polson, which entered the contest unbeaten in conference play, kept things close in every set but couldn’t match Bigfork’s balance at the net and consistency from the service line.
