Bonner County polling locations for Nov. 4 contested races

Election day is here, with residents across Bonner County heading to the polls to decide the direction of their city.  

Residents are restricted to voting that the polling place designated for their precinct. A map of the precincts can be found online at the Bonner County Elections Office’s website. 

All polling locations in the county will open at 8 a.m. and remain open until the polls close at 8 p.m. 

Sandpoint 

In Sandpoint, residents will be voting for three at-large City Council seats and the city’s $130 million wastewater treatment plant bond. The bond would go toward a full renovation of the city’s facility, which city staff say is past its useful life.  

There are four polling locations within city limits for this election at First Lutheran Church at 526 Olive Ave., VFW Post 2453 at 1325 Pine St., Sandpoint United Methodist Church at 711 Main St., Bonner County Extension Office at 4205 North Boyer St. 

Priest River 

Residents of Priest River will be voting to elect a fire commissioner for Sub-District 1. The lone polling location in the city is at the Priest River Event Center at 5399 U.S. Highway 2.  

Dover 

In Dover, there are two at-large City Council seats up for election and an unopposed mayoral election. The lone polling location in Dover is located at City Hall at 699 Lakeshore Ave. 

Clark Fork 

Residents in Clark Fork will be voting to elect a new mayor. Citizens can vote at the Clark-Fork-Hope Area Senior Center at 1001 Cedar St. 

Kootenai 

The city of Kootenai’s only contest race for Seat 1 on the city council. Residents can vote between the two candidates and on the Northside Fire District’s levy at Cedar Hills Church at 227 McGhee Road. 

The permanent levy for the fire district would double the district’s budget to help maintain the current staffing level, which the district said it cannot do at the current funding level. The district said that the funding will not go toward the hiring of additional paid staff or apparatus. 

East Hope 

Residents in East Hope will be voting on a permanent override tax levy for street maintenance. They can vote at the Memorial Community Center at 415 Wellington Place. 

Ponderay 

Voters in Ponderay will be deciding on a 1% local option tax and the Northside Fire District's levy at Cedar Hills Church at 227 McGhee Road. 

The local option tax would be in effect for the next 10 years and would raise funds for city infrastructure projects like the Field of Dreams. 

Bronx 

Residents in the Northside Fire District will be voting on its levy request at the Northside Chrisitan Fellowship DS/US at 44000 Colburn Culver Road. 

Colburn/Samuels/Elmira 

Residents in these three cities will also be voting on the Northside Fire District levy request at Northside Fire Station No. 4 on 64 Samuels Road. 

Residents in the Algoma, Clagstone, Gamlin Lake, Lamb Creek, Priest Lake, Sagle, Southside, Spirit Valley, Westmond and Wrenco precincts will not be voting.  

Poll workers can get you registered to vote at any of the polling locations listed above, if you provide proof of identity and residence. If you’re unsure about your voting precinct or want to look at your sample ballot head to voteidaho.gov for more information.
