James “Jimmy” E. Davis, age 72, passed away at his home Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025.

He was born June 16, 1953, to Clarence and Lois Davis of Sagle, Idaho. Before retirement he worked as a logger and lived life to the fullest with simple pleasures; early morning coffee at the Hoot Owl, visiting buddies over breakfast at Connie's, and going out to lunch on Sundays with his granddaughter. He also loved fishing trips to Lake Koocanusa, Mont., with his friends; where he would take the fish home and smoke them himself. His latest pleasure was his new Shelby Mustang that he was always showing off. Jimmy had a way of making friends everywhere, leaving a lasting imprint on everyone he met.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lois Davis of Sagle. He is survived by his brother, Larry Davis of Sagle; his sister, Melissa Tucker of Sagle; his children, Adrian (Vern) Nelson, Justin (Kathryn) Davis, Shauna (Brandon) Crump, Christopher Davis, and Savannah LaFountain; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A friends-and-family gathering to honor Jimmy and his memory will be held and determined at a later date.

Family and friends are invited to sign Jimmy's online guest book at coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
