Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 4 weeks, 1 day AGO
The eclectic Celtic ensemble, Reverie Road, is set to perform at the O’Shaughnessy Center Nov. 7 as part of the Whitefish Theatre Company’s 2025-26 music series lineup.
Celebrated for their virtuosic musicianship and genre-bending sound, Reverie Road, unites founding Solas members, Winifred Horan (fiddle) and John Williams (accordion), with former Gaelic Storm fiddler, Katie Grennan and Steinway Jazz and Raga pianist, Utsav Lal.
Reverie Road takes the rich tapestry of Irish music and pushes the boundaries of tradition, offering innovative interpretations that retain the heart of the genre while embracing a modern twist.
Each member brings a distinct musical lineage that deepens the group’s artistic chemistry. Horan, a classically trained violinist, has long been recognized for her lyrical style and expressive technique. Williams, known for his work with Riverdance and a master of the Irish button accordion, flute and concertina, brings rhythmic depth and soulful nuance. Grennan, with her background in competitive Irish dance and American fiddle styles, energizes the group with kinetic flair. Lal, adds a remarkable East-meets-West voice through his seamless integration of Indian classical motifs with Celtic structures.
Together, they transcend borders and genres, reimagining folk music as a living, breathing force of cultural conversation and innovation.
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for students and may be purchased online at whitefishtheatreco.org, at the box office, 1 Central Ave. in Whitefish, or by calling 862-5371.
The show is sponsored by Gayle and Scotty MacLaren, with an outreach performance for local elementary students provided by Flathead Electric Cooperative.
