Charlo claims District 14C volleyball championship, advances to divisionals

The Charlo Lady Vikings captured the District 14C volleyball championship on their home court Friday night, defeating Hot Springs 3-1 in the title match to punch their ticket to the Western C Divisional Tournament.
Charlo battled through a tough bracket that featured strong showings from Hot Springs, Superior, and St. Regis. After opening with a 3-1 win over Superior in Thursday’s second round, the Lady Vikings carried that momentum into Friday’s undefeated semifinal, again topping Hot Springs 3-1 to secure a spot in the championship.
Hot Springs earned another shot at Charlo after sweeping Superior 3-0 in the third-place match, but the Lady Vikings proved too strong in the rematch, winning in four sets to claim the district crown.
Charlo, Hot Springs, and Superior all advance to the Western C Divisional Tournament, which begins next week.
