Whitefish speech and debate kicks off season with second place finish

The Whitefish speech and debate team kicked off the season last weekend in Missoula, nabbing a solid second place finish.
The team has a large group of underclassmen competing for the first time.
“The combination of fledgling potential and upperclassman leadership is boding well for a successful season running alongside some of the best in the state here in the Flathead Valley,” said Whitefish Coach Sara Mueller.
Columbia Falls took the won the league, Whitefish placed second and Bigfork, third.
The Whitefish team is hosting a tournament on Saturday, Nov. 8, and is in need of judges throughout the day. If interested in volunteering, please contact Sara Mueller at [email protected] for a signup link.
