ALL-LEAGUE VOLLEYBALL: Gonzales receives IEL honors

ALL-LEAGUE: Belen Gonzales

A senior outside hitter and middle blocker standing at 5 foot 10 inches tall, Belen started and played in all 14 best-of-five-set matches this season for the Lady Bulldogs. Across 44 sets played of the 13 reported games, she tallied a team-high 105 kills (2.4 per set), 130 digs (3.0 per set), 17 aces (0.4 per set), 17 total blocks (0.4 per set) and 227 serve receptions (5.2 per set). Receiving honors for the second year — was the Co-Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore... had a season-high 17 kills against Moscow on Oct. 7... a season-high 17 digs against Lake City on Sept. 9... a season-high five aces against Bonners Ferry on Aug. 29... a tied for season-high four total blocks against Lake City on Sept. 9 and against Lakeland on Sept. 18... a season-high 31 serve receptions in the season opener against Lake City on Aug. 22... reached double-digit kills in four games... recorded double-digit digs in eight games... posted 20-plus serve receptions in four games... produced a team-high 29 kills across five best-of-three-set matches at Sheridan-Welch Crossover Classic tournament.
