MOSES LAKE — District tournaments are well underway as multiple Basin teams are still competing for an opportunity to advance to the state tournament. In the last week some teams have fallen out while others are on the verge of earning a state tourney bid. See below where your favorite teams stand and their current record.   

Oct. 30  

The Knights advanced to the semifinals of the 1A district tournament.  
Royal (13-5) vs Omak
Final Score: 5-0  

The Wahluke Warriors were defeated on the road.
Wahluke (13-6) at Cascade
Final Score: 1-4  

Nov. 1   

The Knights fell short in the semifinals of the 1A district tournament.
Royal at Naches Valley
Final Score: 0-3 

The Mavericks fell short in a competitive game on the road.
Moses Lake (8-6-1) at Eastmont
Final Score: 3-5  

The Warriors bounced back on the road.
Wahluke at College Place
Final Score: 4-0 

Nov. 4   

The Mavericks earned a big win at home.
Moses Lake vs West Valley
Final Score: 3-0 

The Warriors overcame the Knights in penalty kicks.
Wahluke at Royal
Final Score: 1-0

MOSES LAKE — On Friday, the Moses Lake Mavericks hosted Central Valley in a meet that saw the boys finish in second and the girls in first to open the 2026 season.

Moses Lake Tribe AAU places fourth in state tourney

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Tribe sixth-grade Amateur Athletic Union basketball team finished in the top five of the state competition that was held from March 13-15, taking fourth after a long weekend of play. “It was a great experience for our girls. We ended up placing fourth out of 29 teams in the silver division, which is solid for our team,” Head Coach Tom Howard said.
