Tractor-pickup collision injures Royal City man

ROYAL CITY — A Royal City man was airlifted to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland after the tractor he was driving was rear-ended about seven miles east of Royal City.
According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol, Hugo Verduzco was driving east on State Route 262 at about 9 a.m. when he was hit from behind by a pickup truck driven by Michael Richards, 55, Othello. The tractor rolled, and Verduzco was ejected, the WSP press release said.
Both vehicles came to rest fully blocking the road. Richards was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
