Taylor, a senior, won the state 6A title in the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday at the Idaho Central Aquatics Center in Boise, finishing in 53.39 seconds. “I knew from the moment she dove in and came up out of the start that it was her race to win,” Lake City coach Shelly Sobek said. “She came up with a will to win and never let it go throughout the race. She had a much better first turn than her competitors and that just continued to drive her forward in front of them.”
