Outdoors, there’s a nip in the air — but inside, the warmth of live classical music will fill the room as the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint presents its Fall Serenade. This beloved annual concert showcases the extraordinary talent of MCS faculty, with proceeds supporting scholarships for youth who dream of learning to sing or play an instrument.

The Fall Serenade takes place Sunday, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m. in Little Carnegie, 110 Main St. Guests can enjoy refreshments and a no-host wine bar throughout the performance and take part in a silent dessert auction featuring baked goods and gift baskets — thanks to the generosity of local bakers, businesses, including a special yearlong coupon book courtesy of Miller’s Country Store.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students — and thanks to the generosity of the Avista Foundation, seniors can now enjoy the concert at the special rate of $15 through our new Avista Seats for Seniors program.

Through Avista’s sponsorship, discount tickets are available for seniors on a limited fixed income, both online and at the door.

“Sharing the talent of our staff and the beauty of our Little Carnegie performance space is something we want everyone to enjoy,” said Development Director Kathi Samuels. “Music should not be exclusive — a belief at the heart of our school’s mission.”

This special ticket rate will continue for future Little Carnegie performances until further notice.

All auction proceeds benefit MCS scholarship programs that help students of all ages achieve their musical goals.

“It takes years to prepare for the big stage, and we mentor students from beginners to professional,” Samuels added.
