Georgia Whitehead

University of Idaho women's soccer

Whitehead, a junior forward from Lake City High, was named to the Big Sky all-conference second team. Whitehead scored three goals and added three assists for the Vandals this season, including two goals against Sacramento State and a game-winner against UC Riverside. Idaho (6-5-9) reached the semifinals of the conference tournament before falling to eventual champion Montana. Whitehead played her first two years at Washington State.


Madi Symons

Wyoming women's basketball

The 6-foot junior forward from Coeur d'Alene High scored a career-high 10 points in a 64-44 loss to UT Arlington on Tuesday night in Arlington, Texas. Symons also had seven rebounds and four assists. Symons, who came off the bench in 61 of the 65 games she played in at Wyoming in her first two seasons, has started all three games this season for the Cowgirls (1-2).

Bailey Jaworski

Spokane Colleges volleyball

Jaworski, a 5-foot-6 sophomore setter from Coeur d'Alene High, had 339 assists, 16 kills, 34 aces and 125 digs for the Sasquatch (18-9, 9-5 Northwest Athletic Conference), who advanced to the West Regional semifinals on Saturday against Highline of Des Moines, Wash., at 1 p.m.
