Kaylee Paulson, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter from Coeur d'Alene High, signed with the University of Montana volleyball program on national signing day on Wednesday, the school announced.

"She's an incredibly hard worker and a smart player," Montana coach Allison Lawrence said in a release. "I think her growth from her sophomore year to junior was so outstanding and I think she reminds me of players we've had in our program that are very athletic and great movers and needed enough volleyball experience to take off. And you saw that between her sophomore and junior seasons."

Paulson was an all-6A Inland Empire League selection as a junior and season, helping lead the Vikings to conference titles in both seasons. She was also named Newcomer of the Year in 2024.

Montana also announced the addition of Brooklyn Pierce and Isa Taylor on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period for all Division I and Division II sports outside of football. The early signing period for football is Dec. 3.

Gonzaga men's basketball coach Mark Few announced the addition of forwards Sam Funches and Luca Foster on Wednesday.

Funches, a 7-foot, 205 pound forward from Madison, Miss., is a four-star recruit according to ESPN and 247Sports.com. He ranks as the 42nd top recruit in his class on Rivals. He helped Germantown to its first state championship last year, averaging 14.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.7 blocks and 1.7 assists per game during the 2024-25 season.

"They have the perfect play style for me and they put their bigs in the league," Funches told On3 of Gonzaga.

Foster (6-5, 185) from Downington, Pa., played at Link Academy where he's listed as the 16th-best small forward in the country. With Team Final on the Nike EYBL Circuit over the summer, he averaged 15.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game and made 37% from 3-point range.

"I have the opportunity to play for a great coach and be developed into an NBA player," Foster told 247Sports.

Washington State adds two to women's golf program: Melia Cerenzia and Madalyn Gubernick signed 2026 National Letters of Intent, Cougar coach Kevin Tucker announced.

Cerenzia is out of Spokane, Wash. and played at West Valley High School where she was a four-year letterwinner and a three-time All-Greater Spokane League selection heading into her senior season this spring. Cerenzia, who's sister Spencer played golf at Eastern Washington and cousin, Chad Carlson played golf at WSU, was named the 2A League MVP as a freshman and junior and won the 2A WIAA State Championship as a sophomore.

"It's always special when we have the opportunity to add a local player, and Melia is a perfect fit for our program," Tucker said. "A standout from West Valley High School, Melia brings power, confidence and a contagious energy to everything she does. Her talent and drive will elevate our team in a big way."

Gubernick is out of Scottsdale, Ariz. and attended IMG Academy in Florida the last three years after playing her freshman season at Xavier College Prep with current Cougar sophomore Grace Rubelsky.
