The Boundary County Winter Craft Fair brought dozens of vendors and holiday shoppers to the fairgrounds this weekend, Nov. 7-8, many of whom will be back for the Nov. 22 holiday market at the same location.

There were several different items for sale. Some, such as one vendor selling flavored pretzels, were also at the Bonners Ferry farmers market. There were also more seasonal vendors, including one booth that sold homemade beanies. The South Boundary Fire Department was also in attendance.

Twyla Wall and Dakota Pollard organize the Spring Craft Fair, which, unlike the winter event, can be held outside depending on the weather.

“It gives the opportunity to get people out of their winter weather and get out, start their shopping, bring spirits back up,’ Wall said. “We all know what winter’s like here in Idaho.”

There were two different rooms in the hall, with significantly more foot traffic in the main room.

Several vendors said they traded or sold their goods with other vendors and spent time talking to each other, creating a welcoming atmosphere with a friendly smile and a willingness to talk about their products.

Many also mentioned that this event had more window shoppers than usual, as people get ready for the holiday season.

The spring craft fair will be held on April 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.
