Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra presents ‘Musical Potpourri’

The Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra invites music lovers to an afternoon of diverse musical selections at the “Musical Potpourri” concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at Schuler Performing Arts Center on the North Idaho College campus.
The special concert features the orchestra alongside talented vocalists from the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre and highlights pianist Matt Goodrich performing Camille Saint-Saens' monumental Piano Concerto No. 5, “The Egyptian.”
Audiences will also enjoy the energetic Danse Bacchanale from Saint-Saens’ opera “Samson and Delilah,” along with a variety of seasonal favorites, including “Autumn Leaves” and more.
Before the concert, at 2 p.m., music director Danh Pham will lead “Dialogues with Danh,” an engaging lecture offering audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the evening’s repertoire, insights into the featured artists and a chance to explore the stories behind the music.
“‘Musical Potpourri’ is a celebration of the wide array of musical talent in our community,” Pham said. “From our guest soloist, Matt Goodrich, to members of the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre, the concert is truly a vibrant mix of performances that will delight every audience member.”
Tickets are $35 for adults, $25 for seniors 64 and older, $15 for students, youth, veterans and active military and free for children ages 0-5.
