COEUR d’ALENE — A man who repeatedly raped an unconscious woman will spend up to 30 years in prison, according to the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Frank V. Cunningham, 41, pleaded guilty in August to rape and video voyeurism, both felonies. 

First District Judge Regina McCrea sentenced Cunningham last week to 30 years in prison with parole eligibility after 20 years. The judge also entered a 25-year no-contact order between Cunningham and the woman he assaulted. 

The charges stem from last fall, when prosecutors said a woman with whom Cunningham was in a relationship found several videos on Cunningham’s Google Drive account that depicted him raping her while she was unconscious. The woman said she had found medications in the couple’s residence that she believed Cunningham may have used to incapacitate her during the assaults. 

Prosecutors said Cunningham filmed himself sexually assaulting the woman multiple times between March 2024 and April 2024. 

In 2019, prosecutors said Cunningham was convicted of video voyeurism in Nez Perce County. The crime was discovered after Cunningham uploaded videos of him raping a different unconscious woman to an adult website, according to prosecutors.
