SANDPOINT — Actors from local theaters are planning to bring a one-of-a-kind show to The Hive next weekend.

A group of five local performers have formed a troop to present Red Roses: A Vintage Cabaret, a musical experience that harkens back to shows of the 1920s and 1930s. The Red Roses promise a night packed with a fusion of vintage glamour and modern favorites with plenty of crowd interaction.

“We’re reviving the glamorous, respected song-and-dance entertainment that made the 1950s through '70s so iconic,” Keely Gray, singer, said. “There’s nothing like this in the inland Northwest. We’re bringing vintage glam sophistication with local heart and accessibility.”

Gray built the team alongside Ashley Lopez, an international touring artist. Using her wealth of performing tools from contortion to opera singing, Lopez will lead the Red Roses through their routine of carefully curated musical numbers.

Holly Beaman, a star from local Sandpoint performances, and Nicole Brianna, who goes by Nickie B on stage, has been dancing cabaret for over 20 years. Dressed in sequins and feathers accurate to the time period, that will create an intimate experience for attendees.

Rounding out the Red Roses is the lone male rose, Andrew Sorg, who brings his unique energy to every performance. The show Nov. 22 will be the group’s debut show at The Hive, attendees will be encouraged to buy roses before the show to throw on stage.

Tickets and further information are available at livefromthehive.com. Attendees must be 21 or older to enter when doors open at 7 p.m. on Nov. 22.
