Bobcat women pull away late from UNLV

BOZEMAN — Addison Harris scored 26 points and Taylee Chirrick had 16 as Montana State downed UNLV 94-81 Tuesday at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
Harris was 10 of 16 from the field including 5-for-9 from behind the arc, she added six rebounds.
Chirrick added 10 rebounds and seven steals; the Bobcats (4-0) had 17 steals as a team.
Teaga Erickson tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds to give Montana State two double-doubles.
Aali Alexander led the Rebels (2-2) with 18 points as four UNLV players reached double figures. Mariah Elohim added 15, while Meadow Roland and Jasmyn Lott tallied 13 points apiece.
The Rebels were 44.8% from the field as a team, while Montana State only shot 41.8%.
Alexander cut the UNLV deficit to 82-78 with a 3-pointer just past the midway point of the fourth quarter.
Montana State responded with a 10-0 run to seal the victory highlighted by a pair of baskets from Chirrick.
The Bobcats now go on the road to play Troy in Alabama on Monday.
