The Whitefish volleyball team saw its season come to at the Western A Divisional Tournament in Libby Nov. 7-9, closing out a .500 campaign marked by home-court strength and standout performances across a young roster.

The Bulldogs entered the tournament as the Northwest’s No. 4 seed and faced the Southwestern A’s top seed Frenchtown in Thursday’s opening round on Nov. 6. Frenchtown defeated Whitefish 25-12, 25-14, 25-17.

On Friday, Whitefish battled Southwestern No. 3 Dillon in an elimination match. The Bulldogs played competitive volleyball, hanging tight in the second and third sets before falling 25-14, 25-22, 25-19.

Whitefish finished the year 15-15 overall, earned a strong 7-3 home record, and closed the season ranked No. 28 in Montana by MaxPreps.

Senior outside hitter Camry Kelch paced the Bulldogs with 171 kills and a 2.6 kills-per-set average, swinging 621 times on the year for a .113 hitting percentage. Sophomore Annabelle Barrile provided another major spark at the net, finishing with 105 kills (1.7 per set) on 412 swings.

Whitefish showed its depth throughout the roster: Sophomore Stella Frisbee tallied 65 kills, hitting .146, Senior Sol Holmquist matched that production with 60 kills.

Junior Edolie Petersen added 52 kills, while sophomore Allie Shors contributed 35 kills, hitting at a solid .183 clip.

Whitefish graduates several key seniors—including Kelch, Holmquist, Eleanor Archie, Aubrey Talbot and Anna Shestak—but returns a strong nucleus of underclassmen who saw heavy court time this fall.
