ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Braden Buckhout, Sandpoint Football

This week's Athlete of the Week is Braden Buckhout of Sandpoint Football.

A senior quarterback standing at 6 feet 3 inches tall, Braden finished out the season with 301 total yards — 266 passing, 20 receiving, and 15 rushing — and three passing touchdowns in a 5A state quarterfinals matchup against Skyline. On the year, the right-handed gunslinger rallied for 2,173 passing yards, which ranks as fifth across all Idaho classifications, and produced 26 total touchdowns — 23 passing and three rushing — as he led the Bulldogs to a winning record of 8-3.
