Leavenworth named top-two trending US city for Christmas festivities

LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — We here in Washington State know how great Leavenworth is this time of year, but the city is now getting some national recognition.
HomeToGo named Leavenworth as the second most popular U.S. city for Christmas festivities.
HomeToGo said Leavenworth showed "a high popularity with travelers interested in booking vacation rentals within the area."
Leavenworth came in at No. 19 overall when it came to median nightly price per person at $197.66.
Helen, Georgia, was the only city ahead of Leavenworth for popular U.S. cities for Christmas festivities. Rounding out the top-five cities after Helen and Leavenworth are Williamsburg, Virginia, Prescott, Arizona and Franklin, Tennessee.
