Stewart Stacey Kluver, 58, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, near Clark Fork, Idaho. 

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, from 3 -5 p.m. at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at North Summit Church with Pastor Kyle Bostock officiating.

Stewart was born on August 30, 1967, in Sandpoint to Alvin and Peggy Kluver. He grew up in Sandpoint where he developed a love of the outdoors and sports. He excelled at wrestling, baseball, football and track, graduating from SHS in the Class of 1986. He then went on to wrestle at North Idaho College.

After college, Stewart worked on the Valdez Oil Spill in Alaska, before returning home and opening Northwest Steamway Carpet Cleaning. He married Stephanie Waterman on April 8, 2000, in Sandpoint, and they had a son, Brock.

Stewart loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, snowmobiling, and competion shooting. 

He is survived by his sons, Brock Kluver of Sandpoint and Mike (Sarah) Shields of Spokane; father Alvin Kluver of Sandpoint; three grandchildren, Nora, Elli, and Wyatt Shields; brother, Steve (Pixie) Kluver of Sandpoint; sister, Julie (Tom) Langwell of Sandpoint; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stewart will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Memorial Park with his mother, Peggy; and his brothers, Mike and Randy.
