Munday, a sophomore setter from Post Falls High, was named West Coast Conference Setter of the Week after finishing with 79 assists, 16 digs, five blocks, four aces and four kills in matches at Oregon State and Portland last weekend. She had 33 assists, four digs and three blocks on Nov. 13 in Corvallis, then totaled 46 assists, 12 digs, three kills, three aces and two blocks against Portland on Saturday.

Utah cross country

Peters, a junior from Post Falls High, finished 25th in the NCAA Mountain Regional on Nov. 14 in Salt Lake City, helping the Utes, ranked 22nd in the nation, to a fifth-place finish. Peters finished the race in 21 minutes, 11.4 seconds as Utah qualified for the NCAA Championships on Saturday at 7:20 a.m. PDT in Columbia, Mo., at Gans Creek Cross Country Course.


ACADEMIC AWARDS

Frontier Conference announces

football Academic All-Conference

Derek Pearse, a graduate student from Post Falls High, was named to the Frontier Conference Academic All-Conference team, the school announced. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in standing and carry a 3.26 minimum grade point average. Montana Tech (11-0) received a first-round bye in the NAIA playoffs and will host a second round matchup on Nov. 29. Coeur d'Alene High products Gunner Giulio (Carroll) and Wyatt Sanford (Carroll) — both redshirt juniors — as sophomores Cole Meidinger (Timberlake, Arizona Christian) and College of Idaho's Dylan Wolfe (Post Falls) and Logan Clark (Post Falls). Lake City senior Bridger Stephens (Lake City), now at College of Idaho, was also selected.
