Friday, Nov 28 — Shook Twins w/special guest John Craigie, 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
The Shook Twins, Laurie and Katelyn Shook return to the Pearl Theater for their annual Giving Thanks Show.
The longtime tradition features the Shook Twins joined once again by close friend and Sandpoint singer-songwriter John Craigie. Craigie will open the evening and collaborate with the duo throughout the performance, a hallmark of this holiday show.
The concert routinely sells out, and organizers encourage attendees to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are $30 and are available online at thehistoricpearltheater.org.
Friday, Dec 5 — 18-plus karaoke, 7 p.m.
Karaoke for ages 18 and above. This is a free event. Beer and cocktails will be available for purchase.
Sunday, Dec 7 — Free holiday movie, 2 p.m.
The Pearl will be hosting a holiday movie, “Klaus”, free for everyone. Free popcorn will also be available.
About the movie: “Klaus”: When Jesper distinguishes himself as the postal academy's worst student, he is stationed on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle where the feuding locals hardly exchange words let alone letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally in local teacher Alva and discovers Klaus, a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys. These unlikely friendships return laughter to Smeerensburg, forging a new legacy of generous neighbors, magical lore, and stockings hung by the chimney with care.
Built in 1894, the Pearl Theater was originally the first Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry. The historic building is now a theater that provides performance arts, and other events, to the growing community of Boundary County.
The Pearl Theater, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2012 with the goal of providing quality performing arts in an intimate historic downtown art house.
