Bonners Ferry’s volleyball and boys soccer teams each had multiple players receive All-League honors.
BFHS volleyball had three athletes selected: junior Eva Willis, sophomore Sammi Cummings and freshman Jaycee Bateman.
Willis was second on the team in kills and attack percentage and was a defensive force at the net, leading the Badgers with 20 blocks. She also had 358 attack attempts throughout the season.
Cummings recorded a team-high 43 aces at .6 aces a set, including several momentum-shifting serves. She finished second in digs with 147 and second in serving points with 129.
Bateman ranked second on the team with a 33.5% kill percentage. She landed 93.4% of her 241 total serves, scored 118 serving points and finished the season with exactly 100 digs.
In boys soccer, senior Lincoln Hymas and junior Peyton Hinthorn earned All-League recognition. The Badgers finished 12-9 overall, including 7-3 at home. They qualified for the state playoffs and were ranked No. 35 in Idaho.
Though Hinthorn’s impact wasn’t always reflected in goals and assists, he anchored a defense that allowed 44 goals while the Badgers scored 64. He finished with two goals and one assist.
In his final season, Hymas was the team’s second-leading scorer with eight goals and added one assist while helping lead Bonners Ferry to the state championships.
Head Coach Paul Bonnell praised their positive attitudes, hardworking ethic, and contributions to the team.
"They are leaders by example, both serving as team captains," Bonnell said. "They play with intensity but are also calm and cool on the field."
