Kathleen Moffat, a longtime resident of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away Oct. 29, 2025. She was born June 14, 1942, in Detroit, Mich., to Madonna and Charles Moffat, Jr.
Kathleen’s early years were spent in Florida with her husband, raising their two sons, traveling the country, camping and enjoying nature.
In later years, she became a licensed practical nurse, a surgical nurse and a home care provider for disabled children. Kathleen was an accomplished artist and seamstress, an avid reader, a bartender and a volunteer. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her constant and amazing resilience.
Kathleen is survived by her sons, Michael David Johnston and Thomas Mitchell Johnston; her sisters, Melanie and Monica; her brothers, Mitchell and David; three grandchildren: Ashlee, T.J. and Duncan; and four great-grandchildren.
