Partnerships provide warmth, safety and support for Lincoln County families

When winter hit hard in Lincoln County, Mary found herself in an unfamiliar position—needing help.
Facing unexpected medical emergencies, her family’s budget was stretched thin, and she worried about how to keep their home warm. When she reached out to Love INC, help came in the form of a simple but life-changing gift: a load of firewood.
With deep gratitude, Mary shared how this support meant her family could stay warm—and she could still pay the bill.
Stories like Mary’s will be repeated many times this winter, thanks to support from the LOR Foundation and Libby Assembly of God, who have partnered with Love INC to provide firewood for families in need.
This effort is just one example of how local and regional foundations, businesses and churches are coming together to ensure families across our community stay safe, warm, and cared for during the cold months ahead.
Meeting needs like this doesn’t happen alone. The Gianforte Family Foundation has invested in Love INC’s long-term capacity through strategic training and coaching, as well as financial support, equipping the organization to better serve families in crisis.
Meanwhile, Round Up for Safety, a program of Flathead Electric Cooperative, provided new furniture-moving equipment, allowing volunteers to safely deliver firewood and household items. And thanks to a One-by-One grant from 4imprint, Love INC now has banners and table coverings that help them share their mission at community events—inviting even more neighbors to get involved.
“This is what Love INC is all about—churches and community partners working together to meet real needs with love,” said Lisa Goodman, Executive Director of Love INC of South Lincoln County. “Because of these grants and partnerships, families are staying warm, volunteers are serving more safely, and our community is coming together in powerful ways.”
Love INC is building a foundation of support that will last for years to come. Lasting transformation happens through participation in Love INC’s New Heights program. We’re kicking off the New Year by offering three community classes in Libby: Affirming Potential, Faith and Finances and Raising Highly Capable Kids.
Registration is required, and childcare is available. To learn more about Love INC, register for a New Heights class, or get involved through volunteering or donations, please visit www.loveincslc.org or call the Love INC office at 406-334-2016.
