SCHOOL FUNDING: What a deal

Let’s see now, if it costs an average of $12,500 (about $3,000 more than the state average) per student in the Cd’A School District and my newly passed tax credit is only $5,000 per student, isn’t the district saving $7,500 on each student who opts out of the public system?

That should mean that if, over time, a significant number of families choose the tax credit, taxes should decrease.

But, even more importantly, private education has proven to be superior to public education. What an investment in our future!

And private Christian schools are the best — they get to hear the whole Truth. In public schools in the ’50s in PA we read 10 verses from the Bible, recited the Lord’s Prayer and saluted the flag — and when President Eisenhower added “under God” to the pledge we were elated!

Where did we go wrong?

I’ve had the privilege of heading international K-12 Christian schools in 10 countries and schools in California, Washington and Idaho.
