Griz men fall again at home event

MISSOULA — In a battle of the Grizzlies, it was the Oakland Golden Grizzlies who came out victorious against Montana 95-87 Tuesday at Dahlberg Arena.


Brody Robinson led Oakland with 23 points, including 13-for-18 at the foul line, he added eight assists.  


Kenyon Aguino led Montana with 24 points and 16 rebounds. He was 10-16 from the field. 


Money Williams offset a 4-for-14, 15-point performance with 15 assists. 


In the end it wasn’t enough as both teams finished the day around 50% from the field, but Oakland worked their way to the foul line for 31 free throws while Montana was just 13-for-22. 


All five starters ended in double figures for both teams, Zaire Wells had 10 off the bench for the Golden Grizzlies. 


Montana ends the Blaine Taylor Classic 0-2 with losses to Oakland and Lamar. Oakland finished the event 2-0. Lamar was 1-1. 


Montana now prepares for a matchup with North Dakota State on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m., a part of the Big Sky-Summit league challenge.
