Tim William Mullowney passed away peacefully of natural causes Nov. 18, 2025, at the age of 93. He was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Billings, Mont. Tim grew up in Ballantine, Mont., and graduated from Huntley Project High School in 1950.

Tim competed in football, basketball and track in high school. He then attended Eastern Montana University for two years, where he ran the 100-, 220- and 440-yard dashes, threw the javelin and played halfback on the football team. After two years at Eastern, Tim transferred to the University of Montana to complete his degree in Business Administration, graduating in 1954.

He was then drafted into the U.S. 7th Army and served two years, mostly in Germany. Upon discharge, Tim moved to Seattle in 1956.

Tim began his career at Boeing in 1956 and met Marguerite (Rita) Herrmann at Boeing in 1959. Tim and Rita were married at St. Peter Catholic Church in Seattle in 1960, and they settled in Bellevue, Wash., where they bought their first and only home. After working at Boeing for over 37 years, Tim retired from Boeing in 1994.

Tim and Rita then moved to Moses Lake, Wash., where they spent their retirement years. Tim enjoyed fishing and floating the rivers in Montana, cheering for Notre Dame football, and was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake.

Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Mullowney (1935), his mother, Ora (Peters) Mullowney (1974), his father, Tom Mullowney (1976), and his fraternal twin brother, Thomas Mullowney (1977).

Tim is survived by his wife Rita, his children, Timothy Mullowney (Julia) and Patrick Mullowney (Tammy) and five grandchildren.
