Chorale Society and guest artists ring in holidays

A drummer, flutist, cellist and the Copeland Memorial Bell Ringers will join the Mission Valley Choral Society for two resounding holiday concerts, 1 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Mission Church in St. Ignatius and 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Polson.

Director Cathy Gillhouse has selected 15 musical numbers for the annual performances, including Roger Whittaker’s “I Am But a Small Voice,” Amy Grant’s “Breath of Heaven,” a traditional Hebrew greeting, “Hannukah Shalom,” and several traditional Christmas songs. The concerts conclude with two works by George Frederic Handel.

The concerts are free and welcoming to all. A free-will offering will be taken to help the choir with music expense.
