Cody Randall Saffeels, 34
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 week, 2 days AGO
Cody Randall Saffeels left this life Oct. 16, 2025, two days before his 35th birthday. Born on Oct. 18, 1990, in Arlington, Wash., he was the youngest of three children and the only son of Rick and Sandy Saffeels.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Keith and Katherine Peoples, Joseph Saffeels, and his cousin, John Curtis Saffeels Jr. He is survived by his parents, sisters Lindsey and Jessie (Josh), his nephew and niece, Logan and Katie, grandmother Patricia DuToit, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, including Kevin, who was like a brother to him.
Cody graduated from Lake City High School in 2009. He also pursued some continuing education in auto mechanics. Over the years, he worked a wide variety of jobs, from welding to janitorial work. But in truth, Cody had a knack for hustling. He wasn’t one to follow rules or punch a time clock. He followed his own dreams and carved his own path. He was a fierce protector of those he loved; he was loyal and had a sharp sense of humor. His laugh was contagious, and his hugs were crushing. He loved getting a good deal and loved interacting with people along the way. People were simply drawn to him.
Family was THE most valuable and important thing to Cody. He opened his heart and his home to Logan and Katie, helping raise them as if they were his own children. They meant everything to him. To honor his devotion, a college/secondary education fund has been established in his name for Logan and Katie, ensuring his love and support continue into their future.
A celebration of life will be held Jan. 4, 2026, beginning at 2 p.m. at Alt’s Copperhouse, 418 W. Seltice Way in Post Falls, Idaho.
