Gerald “Jerry” Hackett, 71

Gerald “Jerry” Clement Hackett, 71, of Columbia Falls, passed away Nov. 2, 2025. He was born Aug. 12, 1954 in Medford, Oregon to the late Chuck Hackett and Jacqelene Hackett (Joyer).

Jerry loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains any way that he could including huckleberry picking, driving, and driftwood collecting. Jerry worked professionally at Plum Creek for many years until his retirement. He was loving, compassionate and even a bit of a jokester. Jerry was a Raiders fanatic. He was a people person and will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of over 21 years, Barb Bechtel Hackett; two daughters: Alisha and Amanda; one son, Ryan; two grandchildren; five brothers; four sisters; and two sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother and one nephew.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls is caring for the family.
