Holiday craft fairs, markets aplenty

Check off those shopping lists at local Christmas markets and craft fairs throughout the holiday season.
Nov. 29
Holiday Spirit Market | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Brickel Creek Coffee, 6133 Maine St., Spirit Lake. A community event with small-town holiday spirit. Enjoy a crackling fireplace, warm drink specials, candy canes, festive atmosphere and one-of-a-kind gift ideas. Local authors and artists will have autographed books. Local teens will hold a gift-wrapping fundraiser. Santa may make a stop for photos in front of Brickel's Christmas tree. Co-hosted with Spirited Ink Author Services and Events. Free.
Athol Farmers Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 30355 N. Third St., Athol. Santa, over 50 vendors, coffee truck, food truck and refreshments. It will also be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Free.
Merry and Bright Community Night | Noon to 7 p.m., New Leaf Nursery, 12655 N. Government Way, Hayden. Winter wonderland with magic, cheer and warmth. Wander through a decorated nursery filled with lights, fresh greenery and unique holiday displays. Festive refreshments from Rosemary Manor Winery, along with sweet treats from Shan’s Caramel Shop and Sweet Em’s Bakery. Discover fresh, local jams and jellies from Idaho Jams. Décor, gifts and plants. Glow Up Photo Booth, offering Santa photos and festive holiday snapshots. Holiday Bazaar | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Community Presbyterian Church, 417 N. William St., Post Falls. Cinnamon and orange rolls in the morning. Lunch is chili and veggie soup. Cookies and candy sold by the pound. Santa and Mrs. Clause will be available for pictures from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 30 local vendors in a warm, inviting, indoor event. Sale items will include occasions cards, quilts, wooden bowls, permanent jewelry, kitchen towels, fleece throws, variety of jewelry, epoxy tabletops, wine glasses and more. Free.
Winterfest | Post Falls City Hall Plaza, 408 N. Spokane St., Post Falls. Holiday tree lighting and caroling. Warm up around outdoor fire pits, enjoy kid-friendly activities, and snap photos. Visit with Santa, stop by Mrs. Claus' kitchen. Holiday market vendors and Christmas tree lot. Free.
Dec. 6
Annual Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., North Idaho Christian School, 251 W. Miles Ave., Hayden. Christmas wonderland with more than 50 local vendors to choose from. Variety of goods, concession stand with chili and potato bar.
