My friends at QLTD Audio and Vigilante Provisions are bringing the heat ... and the talent ... this winter with several unique music opportunities. Honestly, whenever I see that Vigilante Provisions is hosting a show, I go!
Saturday, December 27th you'll want to get your groove thing to the O'Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center in Whitefish for MVPZ, Mr. Matthew, beatgypsy, and aalexiaa. Essentially, this is MVPZ supported by three Montana DJs for a night of non-stop music and dancing. Think retro synth, hip-hop, funk and heavy bass. Let's not analyze it too much, just get yourself on the dancefloor!
And Save the Date for another QLTD Audio and Vigilante Provisions concoction on Saturday, January 3rd in Whitefish for DJ Trayze, Epik, JC, Heyy Riggs and DJ Farch on the Ones and Twos for another high-powered dance yourself clean opportunity. If you know you know ... and if you don't, buy a ticket anyway. Your welcome.
Tickets for these Vigilante gems are available only on FlatheadTickets.com. Do you event producers a solid and purchase your tickets early.
I look forward every year to the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour hosted by the Flathead Nordic Backcountry Patrol at the welcoming and comfortable Wachholz College Center. It's 100% worth keeping yourself and the kidlets up late to watch a curated batch of adventure films from across the globe. Truly, these are inspiring, unforgettable films that can literally take you anywhere. Reserve your seats for Tuesday December 2nd and Wednesday December 3rd ... and YES you will want to attend both nights as each night showcases unique films. Find your tickets ONLY at wachholzcollegecenter.org
Support the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation as they once again host Showcase of the Chefs on Thursday, December 4th at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake. As it's opening day on Big Mountain, pack your Apres' jacket and experience an extraordinary night of gourmet cuisine, fine wine and a vibrant atmosphere. Your favorite downtown Whitefish eateries set the table while you bid on the silent auction.
Kalispell's Conrad Mansion is a holiday sight to behold and my favorite way to enjoy this historic home and all its trimmings is to experience the Gypsy Theatre Guild's radio-style performance of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol. I love it so much, that one year I played a small part. Performances are December 4th through 7th and you'll want to reserve your seat soon as space is limited.
The Whitefish Theatre Company keeps the holiday entertainment jolly with performances of the comedy Let Nothing You Dismay for various dates and times December 4th through 14th at the O'Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center. Crazy families, newborn babies, and holiday hijinks will leave you laughing out loud.
The weather outside may be frightful, but inside 101 Central in Whitefish there is plenty to keep you warm as the Second Story Band alongside Broadway's Meredith Patterson share an unforgettable evening of classic holiday favorites and seasonal sparkle. This Winter Wonderland concert will certainly remind you the reason for the season. Experience this festive evening December 6th through 13th.
And if swing dancing and big band music is more your style, head to the Salvation Army Community Center on Sunday, December 7th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm for the Big Band Christmas Ball. The 18-piece DLO Big Band will knock your stockings off!
Head to downtown Whitefish on Friday, December 12th for the annual Whitefish Christmas Stroll. A long-standing community tradition of revelry, shopping and tree lighting. Activities range from music performances, street vendors, tap dancing and s'more roasting. Check out the full sleigh of events on dailyinterlake.com
Kalispell's Snowline Acres plays host to what is sure to be an unforgettable concert in an unforgettable venue on Thursday, December 18th. Legends Rob and Halladay Quist perform alongside Clara Weck for two showtimes that evening. This super group will certainly share the heart and soul of the Christmas season.
Or spend your December 18th evening at Kalispell's Conrad Mansion enjoying a festive evening of Christmas carols by the Valley Voices Choir. This concert is sure to give you the feels.
